The content of competition was divided into theory written examination and practical welding. Practical operation could be divided into welded corner joint, vertical position
welding, vertical fixation welding, manual arc welding and argon-arc welding. Whole competition was judged comprehensively according to Senior Welder National Occupational Standards. Totally 29 employees joined in this competition, 35% of direct workers. During the competition, Vice-president Lv Ping accompanied town labour union Chairman Xu Jufang to view the workshop. After two days competition, the judges team combined by quality control department, production department, general manager office, adopted random numbers of works to choose one First Prize, two Second Prizes, three Third Prizes and three argon-arc welding honorable mention.

In order to encourage employees loving job respecting work and researching skill, company convened ceremonious awarding ceremony. General manager Lv Jianli awarded personally certificates and gifts to welders. At the same time, the three electrician was received special awards who had awarded Group Third Price in "Whole country electrician technological competition". At the awarding ceremony, general-manager Lv Jianli not only praised the awarded employees, but also praised the employees who joined in competition actively. He raised a slogan "Quality is the life of enterprise , technology is the guarantee of quality" and called all employees to learn new technology and improve vocational skill level.
